| A flyping movement is a rotation of a tangle. The word "flype" is derived from the old Scottish verb meaning "to turn or fold back." Tait (1898) used this word to indicate a different knot transformation than the one understood in the modern definition (Hoste et al. 1998). Flyping-Games are spacepuzzles, developed from the platonic solids, which in this case are composed of several kaleidocykles . Each kaleidocykle is turning inside out endless. With him you can compose various symmetrical and assymmetrical spaceforms. The interlocking of different kaleidozykles into one platonic solid (f.i. cube or hexahedron) is a spacegeometrical rediscovery and for the first time, affected by the production of cube one, open to the public. Other platonic spacepuzzle are in development. |
